Been paying annual. None of the features work. Emailed support and they say I don’t pay for a membership. Weird because I’ve been paying for it. Used to love this app will look for another option I guess.

The old version, which I paid for, was great. Now, unless I pay a monthly fee, I have the free version which is full of bugs.

With so many features and so many more being added all the time, Cash is by far the number one app for the power Geocacher.

While I don’t mind the official app and think it works quite well for what it is…Cachly is that next step up. I’ve been a long time user of the app and am I huge fan of it. Auto trackable logging, projected waypoints, you can have lists show with different icons on your map, and use template logs for the big days with loads and loads of find. This app takes a lot of work and I know as of right now a CarPlay addition is not far off and that will be even more amazing. That’s why I don’t mind paying for a subscription, the developer puts a lot of work into this and should be compensated for his time. The only drawback for me is that it can do so much I’m sure I’ve only scratched the surface of everything this can do. If you’re thinking about it, get it, it’ll be worth it.

Like most apps, there’s a learning curve. However once dialed in (and with premium), it’s the best caching app out there. There are several minor advantages, but being able to preload the maps is massive. The one thing I’d like to have, is the ability to change the default of the compass orientation (it might be there and I have it found it). My preference is facing the direction of my phone is. So I’m continually hitting the button twice to get the orientation right.

I just love Cachly. So many features that help me cache.

I’ve been using Cachly for about a month now, and it has quickly become my favorite geocaching tool. I went ahead and purchased the pro version and the extra features are well worth it for me. I’m thoroughly impressed with it. I love that I can see my DeLorme and County maps and so many of the other features. As a designer and developer I tend to be picky and critical, but I think they’ve done a great job here and I can’t find anything to complain about. I rarely provide reviews but this app deserves the kudos.

I have been geocaching since 2009 and it always used the app from ground speak. I kept hearing about Cachly so I thought I'd give it a try and I'm so glad I did. There are so many features to this that make it far superior to the groundspeakApp. Thank you for your efforts.

I signed up for the yearly subscription so am on the 1 week trial. Despite quitting the app and restoring purchases, I am still limited to three caches with details a day. Quitting and refreshing again sometimes gets me one more cache. I see from the developers reply that this is due to limit of the website, not the app. And, this is explicitly stated at the end of description. I think it would be helpful for people new to this if it were listed higher up in the description.

App consistently spins and responds with a 502 Bad Gateway. One out of ten days it will work as advertised. For a paid app I had higher expectations. I keep coming back because it’s still better than the proprietary app from Groundspeak. The only way it works is to uninstall and reinstall constantly. But everything is lost and everything has to be redownloaded. So time consuming. Can’t just open it and go.

OK, first of all I’ve loved this app ever since it came out. I’ve always used it over the Geocaching app. I don’t even mind paying for it…. but with the 8.1 coming out with CarPlay, any chance you might throw out like a lifetime membership fee for like 50 bucks or something gladly pay that!

My sole purpose for buying this app was for the offline function, which is NOT listed as a Pro feature in the app description. Well, upon downloading, I discovered that the offline function can actually only be accessed as part of the subscription-based pro upgrade. Come on, how hard is it to be transparent about what the app actually offers?

6/29/2024 Update: I am so happy that the app developer reversed the decision to take away the premium maps from people who had already paid for them. This app is seriously awesome for offline Geocaching. Today I found 8 caches all offline with the descriptions with even logs and images available to me. When the Apple Car Play support is added I might consider paying for the subscription too as there are some additional features I would love to have. Thanks for this new awesome way to Geocache and making Geocaching while offline so much better than the official app. Only 4/5 stars due to my original frustration. Original Review: I purchased the $5 app on April 2nd 2024. Then purchased the $3 premium offline maps immediately after downloading for the first time. Now with this new 8.0 update they’ve removed my maps that I had paid extra for an now say that I have to pay the new yearly $5 subscription. Don’t get me wrong, I can afford $5/year. But this is still fraud. I understand that everything is moving to a subscription model but to force people to pay extra for what they already paid for is wrong! Do yourself a favor and use the official Geocaching app that your $30-$40 premium subscription already gets you and use Organic Maps for mapping while offline.

Have really enjoyed this app and now the latest uograde makes it stellar. Mapping feature is very detailed now.

No usernames are available anymore, and you need a username to do ANYTHING don’t waste your money and time trying to choose a username

It figures. 2 weeks ago I download a few offline maps for a road trip, and now, there’s a magic update that makes it only available via subscription. Seriously? I bought this app and now you’re taking away existing functionality? Uncool.

This has always been a solid application for Geocaching, and the 8.0 update makes it even better! Having county lines and Delorme pages is the icing on the cake. I have friends who are on android who are considering switching to iPhone just to get Cachly.

Much more functionality than the official app, and the best UI out of all the more granular, detail-oriented geocaching apps. Learning curve is gentle, and the developer is active and responsive on official channels.

The only app I need for geocaching! The developer is always working hard to make it better and dedicates time to listen to requests and suggestions.

Downloaded it yesterday and no problems at all with it. This update is a case of making a great thing even better. Thanks!!!

I have been a Cachly user for a number of years. It’s always been a good app for the price. I have used it in tandem with the Geocaching.com app as some functionality was better. With the advent of 8.0 all of that changes. With the pro abilities, particularly offline maps and county maps, this app with its subscription services have moved to the top of the heap. Looking forward to additional functionality in coming releases which make the app even more valuable. Hands down, the best geocaching app for iPhones.

I’ve paid for the $5.99 subscription and I don’t have any of the features and it won’t let me do anything 🤦🏼‍♀️

Got this app shortly after I began caching in 2017, and I love it! I am not a power user, and am learning new things about it all the time. I especially love being able to attach photos to my personal cache notes. I enjoy hiding caches and use the app to create potential off-line caches, record notes and store photos of the locations, and create a list and map of the potential cache sites. The proximity circles also help locating potential new cache sites. The variety of available maps and satellite views also are very helpful. Now, I just need to keep on experimenting to see what else I can do with it.

This app is great not only for geocaching but also for offline Topo maps. Definitely worth the single-time purchase for both the app and the add on “premium” maps. No subscriber only features.

The Trackables in inventory, I think it should have where it was release and it’s owner name in the main page of trackables. I don’t believed I see it

This app is what you need for both experienced and new folks alike. Support and features are top-notch. If you need something that does the job for hiding and finding caches, this is it.

If you love the geocache off-line, then cachly is the best app to do that with.

App is great so far but needs to identify caches automatically as I’m driving. I have to keep hitting the refresh button to find caches in the area I’m driving through.

This app it just missing showing your tracks, a very helpful feature when navigating in the woods! Same comment as previously, the app could really use the option to turn on your tracking to find your way back out of the woods!

Why do I have to pay for the app to get “three free” views a day and then pay for a subscription to get information that is free on the official app? You either make a free app and ask for subscriptions or sell the app and let me use it completely. I’ll be asking for a refund for this.

Not big on them using the exact time in the log, which could be a privacy issue, but the capabilities are great.

Cachly continues to be the best geocaching app I have seen. Its organization and features are far superior to the present day offering from Groundspeak. Cachly’s developer makes constant improvements and responds instantly to questions or requests for help. At less than $5 it is one of the best bargains in the App store. With its rich feature set it may take a while to master it all. Don’t be discouraged. Just keep playing with it. One tip: That button in lower right corner of the cache’s main page (the one with the compass on it) is how you get to the map so you can navigate to the cache.

I’ve been trying to STOP MY PAID SUBSCRIPTION FOR OVER THREEEEEE YRS. I CANNOT STOP IT. THEY KEEP CHARGING US BUT WHEN U GO TO YOUR SUBSCRIPTIONS IN UR APPLE ACCOUNT, ITS NOT THERE,!! They have it set up, where u can NEVER UNSUBSCRIBE. I’m about to get an attorney. We’ve contacted the developers about this for almost 4 yrs, they ignore us.

This app is my go to for ease of information, that I just can’t seem to get to quickly especially when having to project direction/coordinates. Love it

This is the best geocaching app EVER!! Hands down! The customer service is top notch and they are always working on awesome updates - mostly, if not all, taken from user suggestions! If I’m being honest, Cachly is the only reason I still have an iPhone, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! This app has EVERYTHING you need for Geocaching! Sooooo many features! Seriously the absolute best!!

If you enjoy finding caches it can be ver fustrating if you dont get premium.
